It has been a 2-weeks nightmare down with chicken pox. To be exact, it’s probably not a nightmare, felt more like house arrest, where you’re a convicted person in a jail, can’t go anywhere, and you have to wait for your daily meals to be delivered to you. You can’t choose much what you would like to eat, and there are literally TONS of restrictions of what you can and cannot do, what you can and cannot eat.
All the blisters came out from head to toe, hundreds, if not thousands of them. Every single spot on my face, chest, back, scalp, and most of my hands and legs were filled with blisters. Sleeping is not always peaceful, there are only so many positions you can rest your body on that won’t disturb or break those blisters. Bathing and washing your hair and faces turned out to be very tricky too. Applying lotions to all over your body took hours.
Bad news apart, it has been 2.5 weeks since the rash started appearing, and according to doctors and Wikipedia, after all fluid blisters has formed scabs, I should no longer be contagious. There are still many red spots waiting to be healed all over my body and face, scabs to clear, I hope all these marks will be cleared sooner than later. Until then, life goes on, and hopefully this will be my first and my last chicken pox.
During the two weeks I was away from office, a lot has happened. A good mentor, James Bond had his Quantum of Solace, left for a Martini, and I, Agent 86, will certainly miss his tutelage and his story from missions to exotic places like Morocco. Another agent, Liutenant Bond, has decided to leave the agency too.
